Agnes Hague

November 17, 1924 — July 4, 2014

Agnes Elizabeth Pierick was born on November 17, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of Joseph Pierick and Katherine (McGowan) Pierick. She grew up in Des Moines. After graduation, from high school, she furthered her education by attending and graduating from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Commerce. She was an employee of Phillips Petroleum Company, in Des Moines. There she met her future husband, Bern. He and Agnes were united in marriage on October 29, 1949. The couple added five children to their union and in 1961 the Company transferred them to Memphis, Tennessee for a period of 10 years before moving them to Bartlesville. Agnes was a 5th grade school teacher at St. John Catholic Church from 1975 to 1985. Bern preceded her in death on January 11, 2014 and she has continued to reside in the Bartlesville and Dewey communities since that time. Agnes was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Bartlesville. She and Bern enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Mobile Squares Square Dancing Club, as well as other square dancing clubs. She coached regional finalists in 4-H Horticulture. She and Bern were also active members of the 55+ Center in Bartlesville; and also members of the Dewey Senior Citizens. She especially loved to play Bridge and Cribbage. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mary Martha Outreach, 1845 W. 4th St., Bartlesville, Ok 74003. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Elizabeth Hague of Perry, Oklahoma, Stephen William Hague of Springfield, Missouri, Bernadette Hague and her husband, Ken Burns, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, John Hague and his wife, Linda, of Bahrain and David Hague of Denver, Colorado; brother, Richard Pierick and his wife, Lavena, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Joseph Hague, Jessica Barkman and her husband, Ryan, Chase Hague, Rebecca Hague, Terry Reeve and his wife, Samara, and Jeremy Reeve; and one great-granddaughter, Tabitha Reeve. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Catherine Cain, Delores Dashiell, Frances Tully; and two brothers, Claire Pierick and Raymond Pierick.
