Alfred Grass

Alfred Grass, 55 year old Jay, Oklahoma resident passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, following a sudden illness. Alfred was born on January 14, 1958, to Smith Grass and Anna Liza Rattlingourd in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.. After high school, he attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Alfred married Marian Teehee in Piney in 1978. Alfred enjoyed watching football, espcially the University of Oklahoma, and the Jay Bulldogs. He loved going to his grandkids sporting events. Alfred was also an artist, who loved drawing. Alfred worked as a clerk for the Cherokee nation for many years. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jess Grass. Alfred is survived by his wife, Marian Grass of the home; one daughter, Shannon Grass and husband Jerimiah Newcomb of Jay, OK; two brothers, David Grass of Jay, OK and Stanley Eugene Grass of Jay OK; two sisters, Carol Sue Grass Sixkiller of Tahlequah, OK and Bobbie Jean O'Field of Tahlequah, OK; and five grandchildren, Mckenzie Lyman, Jaylem Newcomb, Jeron Newcomb, Kameron Newcomb and Jordan Newcomb. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Piney Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
