Alice Pinsart

January 5, 1928 — November 23, 2018

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Alice was born on January 5, 1928 in Chicago, Il. At 90 years of age, she passed to be with our Lord on November 23, 2018 in Grove, OK, surrounded by her husband, Art, 3 daughters, stepdaughter, and son-in law, and loving thoughts from the rest of her family.

After world war II, this Chicago city girl married on March 2, 1946 her loving husband, Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer, Delmer Walz, and started a new quieter life at his farm in South Dakota. Once they arrived, Delmer had invited some of his farm neighbors to proudly introduce them to his new wife, Alice. But he forgot to tell her. Well, much to her dismay, she had nothing to serve them except pickles and water. Of course, she was embarrassed but being farm folks, they ate the pickles and drank the water and all had a big laugh. After having 2 daughters and 1 son, they moved from the hard work but happy life on the farm to set up family life in the suburbs of Chicago, where they added to their family with 2 more daughters and 1 more son. They retired to Grove, OK, and had all total 42 happy years of marriage.

After raising 6 children, Alice decided to add to her career of homemaker by entering the retail world. With her lovely smile and warm caring to help other women, she was a successful saleswoman and loved this job with several retailers over the years.

Several years after the passing of Delmer, Alice fell in love with Art Pinsart, a Grove resident who was also, as was Alice, a St. Elizabeth Catholic Church goer. They were happily married on August 5, 1991, in Las Vegas, NV. With this new marriage, she was again doing what she dearly loved, being a homemaker and happily taking care of her husband. She was an active member of the Red Hatter Society. She was also, most importantly, a Cherry Red volunteer at the Grove Hospital, a position she was most proud... she was back to caring for people. At her passing, Art and Alice were married for 27 years.

Alice is predeceased by her Father and Mother, George and Clara Washack; brother Roy Washack; sisters Violet Washack, Ida Thielsen, Florence Smith, all from the Chicago area; and husband
Delmer Walz, January 29, 1989.

Alice is survived by loving husband, Art Pinsart of the home; brother Tom Washack of Manteno, IL; daughter Joanne (John) McNeil, Oklahoma City, OK, daughter Darlene Rowell, Oklahoma City, OK,
son Larry Walz, Kankakee, IL, daughter Kathy Osborne, San Marcos, CA, daughter Jackie (Don) Van Vliet, Grove, OK, son Delmer (Rena) Walz Jr., Buda, TX, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grand children,
1 great great grandchild; stepson Dan Pinsart, Tulsa, OK, stepdaughter Becky McDonell, Bixby, OK, 4 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Alice has known God, is now with God, after a very long, fruitful, and happy life.
