Alta Shelton

Alta Rhea Shelton, 95, of Vinita, passed away Saturday at Craig General Hospital. Born on February 22, 1911 in Roff, OK to C.W. and Fannie(Magby) Moran. She was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ, member of the Women's Home Extension Club. She was married in 1957 to Ted O. Shelton and they moved to CA. They moved back to the Grand Lake area in 1968 to a home they built. Mr. Shelton passed away in 1981. She loved to do ceramics, reading and quilting. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Bob and Carol Powers of Afton, 2 Grandsons; Jeff and Gregory Powers both of Glenpool. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Sat. Sept. 9, 2006 at McLaughlin Cemetery. Services under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
