Alva Roy ‘Buster’ Seaver, 86, passed from this life and went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 17, 2023 in Enid, OK. He was born on August 10, 1937 in Ketchum, OK to Alva Roy Seaver Sr. and Josephine Marie Seaver. After graduating from Nowata High School and Northeastern A&M he married the love of his life Linda Gail Driskill of Nowata, OK on May 23, 1958. He and Linda raised two children, Mark and Michael. Buster worked for 37 years as a lineman and service man at Public Service Company in Bartlesville, OK.
Buster had a servants heart. To many young boys in Bartlesville he was known as Coach. He coached baseball for more than ten years. He was a deacon and elder in his church for many years.
In retirement Buster enjoyed four passions, his grandchildren, church, sports, and gardening.
Buster was proceeded in death by; his wife, Linda; father and mother, Alva and Marie Seaver.
He is survived by his son’s and one daughter-in-law; Mark and Jo Seaver of Enid, OK; Michael Seaver of Grand Rapids, MI. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Ryan Seaver and Kelsey Bevier of Derby, KS; Chelsey Henry of Valley Center, KS and Cheyenne Harzman of Enid, OK. Two great grandchildren, Carson and Wylie Henry. Other survivors include two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. Charles and Glenda Driskill of Bartlesville, OK, Steven and Betty Driskill of Enid, OK and Glenda Driskill of Wagner, OK.
Viewing will be held at 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 25 at 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Benjamin Funeral Service, Nowata, OK. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Nowata, OK with internment following at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service, Nowata, OK.
