Ancalene West

Ancalene Adele West, 76 years old, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Lakewood Nursing Center in Tulsa. She was born January 1, 1934 in Nowata to Robert Lee and Edna Fern (Burch) Jones. Ancalene was married to Celwyn West, who preceded her in death on September 1, 1986. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Ancalene was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, had worked as an auditor and Avon Lady. She loved her family, baking, music, dancing to Motown, having guest over and making sure they had something good to eat. The surviving family includes: her four children, Celwyn E. West, Jr. and wife Linda of Tulsa, Deborah West of Tulsa, Regina Williams of Tulsa, and Lionel West of Oklahoma City; one brother Tyler Roy West and wife Bonnie of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren William E. Kinnard, Jr., Jyles Hayes, Ollace Williams, Jr. and Warren Williams, great-grandchildren, Deshawn Kinnard, Kiana Kinnard-Dee, Ollace Williams, III, Kerri Williams, Orieyanna Williams, Tavian Williams, O'Jean Williams, Warren Williams, Jr., Jeremiah Williams, and Destiny Williams. Preceding her in death, were her parents, husband, brothers and sisters, Vera Jones Matthews, Margaret Maxine Jones-Farley, Fern Nugent Washington, Ezaga Algeria Smith, Maceyo K. Jones, and Robert Eugene "Bobby" Jones. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor Savoy Grimmer officiating. Interment will follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery near Chelsea. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
