Ann Jones

ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Ann (Donnelly) Jones, age 89, and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, in Brookdale South, Bartlesville. Ann Donnelly was born on December 15, 1925 in Springfield, Missouri. She was the daughter of Andrew Stephen Donnelly and Grace (Packer) Donnelly. She grew up in Lebanon, Missouri where the Donnelly family lived during her youth. She graduated with the Senior Class of 1943 from Lebanon High School. On August 18, 1945, Ann and John Kenneth Jones married in Ithaca, New York. They made their first home in Ithaca since John was stationed there with the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1946, the couple returned to Missouri where John continued his studies at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Following his graduation with a B.S./B.A., they came to Bartlesville where John was employed with the Phillips Petroleum Company. Ann was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Bartlesville. She was actively involved in community activities during her younger years and enjoyed raising her family of four boys. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John. Survivors include four sons, Dr. Stephen Jones of Bartlesville, Dr. Michael Jones and his wife, Rollee, of Portland, Oregon, Kenneth King Jones and his wife, Marian Galbraith, of Groton, Connecticut, and Dr. Andrew Donnelly Jones and his wife, Ronya Anna, of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren, Phillip Donnelly Jones, Abigail Bedford Jones, Halloran Dorsey Anna Jones and Neil Donnelly Anna Jones; and two sisters, Mary Margaret Butts of Rolla, Missouri and Drew Donnelly Benage of Kirkwood, Missouri. Memorials in Mrs. Jones' memory may be sent to St. John Catholic School, 121 W. 8th St., Bartlesville, OK 74003.
