Benjamin Funeral Service ~ Nowata, Oklahoma........................Funeral services for Archie Claudean "Dean" Haynes are 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor James Haynes officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Dean Haynes, 78, passed away April 19, 2015 at his home in Nowata. He was born March 6, 1937 in Oologah to Archie Thomas and Florence Evelyn (Belden) Haynes. Dean attended Oologah Schools and after high school joined the United States Marine Corps. Dean worked on the Will Rogers Ranch in Oologah breaking horses and taking care of other ranch duties. On January 17, 1959 Dean married Geraldine Nichols in Claremore, Oklahoma. In 1963 he moved to the Nowata Area where he worked with his brother in the masonry business. Dean enjoyed the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and gardening were some of his favorite hobbies. He would play the guitar and really enjoyed riding and breaking horses. But most of all he enjoyed family. His wife, children, grandchildren, and other family members held a special place in his heart. Dean will be missed by all who knew him. Dean is survived by 2 step-children, Kathrine Brown and her husband Gary of Tulsa, Jimmy Williams and his wife Debbie of Oologah, eight sisters, one brother, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Geraldine, one brother, and a sister.
