Arthie Gilmore

Arthie Gilmore 80 year-old long time Big Cabin resident, died late Thursday evening, October 5, 2006 at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita. Arthie was born December 18, 1925 in French, New Mexico to Arthur and Mamie (Fowler) Arning. She was married to Joe E. Gilmore who preceded her in death on September 15, 1986. Arthie and Joe had a dairy for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Big Cabin, where she taught Sunday School, was the church historian, and secretary, she just loved to work in her church. Arthie was also a member of the United Methodist Women and the Big Cabin Country Club. The family includes: her children, Betty Gilmore, Joe Gilmore and wife Linda, Shelly Borgstrom and husband Virgil and Jim Gilmore all of Big Cabin; a sister Louise Galloway and a brother Charles Arning both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Big Cabin at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Furan Jackson officiating.
