Barbara Wusk

Barbara R. Evans; (Marler) (Wusk) of Coffeyville, KS passed away in the early morning hours of May 13, 2013 at The Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1915 in Pawnee County, Oklahoma to Charlie and Maggie Evans. The family later moved to Seminole, OK where she attended school and later met and married Jim Marler on April 14, 1931 in Wewoka Oklahoma. They had four children: Martha Monday of Wann, OK; Joyce Patteson of Chelsea, OK; Luceille Stewart of El Dorado, KS and Charles Marler of Coffeyville, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim on July 7, 1965, daughters Luceille Stewart on Jan 15, 2010; Joyce Patteson May 3, 2012 and nine brothers and sisters; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. On April 4, 1974 she married John Wusk of Sterling Nebraska who later passed away on Dec 28, 1991. After the death of Mr. Wusk she moved to Coffeyville Kansas to be near her family. In addition to her children listed above, she is survived by thirteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and eight great, great, grandchildren, three special nieces in Seminole, OK and one nephew of Hutchinson, Kansas and a host of friends. She was a long time member of The South Coffeyville Methodist Church. Graveside services for Barbara will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Posey officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
