Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK (918) 256-5555……Bernice Sumner Honey passed away on June 14, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on February 19, 1933 in Big Cabin, OK to Bert Sumner and Edith (Claypool) Sumner.
Bernice was raised in Big Cabin, OK. After graduating from Adair High School Bernice raised four sons. She was a member of the 4 Square Gospel Church. Bernice enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, and tending her flowers, but most of all Bernice loved spending time with her family. Bernice worked at Walmart until she retired.
Bernice is survived by four sons, J.D. Honey and wife Gayla, Harold Honey, Bert Honey, Rick Honey and wife Lisa all of Catoosa; two grandchildren, Amy Honey and Christi Boulware of Catoosa; two great-grandchildren, Evan and Ellie Boulware of Catoosa, along with numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Darrel Sumner, Albert Sumner and Earl Sumner.
Gravesides service for Bernice will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Big Cabin Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Bloomfield officiating.
