Bettie Chair

Bettie Louise Chair, 76, of Nowata, OK died Saturday, June 18, 2011 in Tulsa, OK. Louise was born April 30, 1935 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, daughter of James Leonard and Bettie Jane (Burgess) Koonce. Louise was a graduate of Essex high school in Missouri. She married Perry Chair in September of 1955. Together, they became the proud parents of three children: Regina, Doug and Bonnie. Louise and Perry later divorced. Louise always enjoyed being on the go. She was fond of attending local pow-wows and spending time with her family. She found enjoyment in watching her great grandchildren and solace in reading. Louise was a member of the Chihuahua dog club and was partial to her neighborhood cats. Louise is survived by her 3 children: daughter, Regina Woolman and her husband Denny; son, Doug Chair; daughter, Bonnie Crossland and her husband Chris all of Nowata, OK; 4 grandchildren: John Woolman, Joshua Woolman, Jennifer Garner and Adam Foster; 7 great grandchildren; siblings: brother, James Koonce of Louisiana; sister, Ava Parks of Bartlesville, OK and brother, Lee Koonce of California. She is also survived by her dear friend, Bonnie Thaxton of Bartlesville, as well as, a host of other relatives and friends. Louise was preceded in death by: her parents; one sister, Iva Jean Champ and one brother, Wayne Koonce.
