Billy Donaldson

Grove, OK ~ Billy "Bill" Gene Donaldson, 78, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at his home in Tulsa. He was born on December 30, 1931 in Diamond, Missouri to Ralph and Gladys (Moser) Donaldson. Bill graduated from high school in Lakehill, Missouri and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Helen Louise Russell on November 2, 1956 in Joplin, Missouri. She preceded him in death in 2006. Bill worked for Associated Milk Producers in plant maintenance. Bill enjoyed working on boats and lawnmowers and was very creative with his handiwork. He was always there with an answer. He enjoyed fishing and his dog, "Dude." Survivors include his children, Bill Donaldson, Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Muskogee, OK, Ted Donaldson and his wife, Amy of San Antonio, TX, Terry Donaldson and his wife Paula of Farmers Branch, TX, Jeff Donaldson and his wife, Debbie of Tahlequah, OK, Donna Donaldson of Tulsa, OK and Deanna Holmes and her husband, Kevin also of Tulsa. Also surviving are his sisters, Judy Hayes and Darlene Miller both of Lyons, KS, Carolyn Fortner of Grants Pass, OR and Joyce Cronkite of Ukiah, CA; one aunt, Annabelle Taylor of Joplin, MO; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one sister, Patty Douglas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 14, 2010 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Prince officiating. Burial will follow at Olympus Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Akdar Shrine Transportation fund.
