Graveside services for Billy Joe Stand, JR. are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012 at MT. Washington Cemetery with Rev. Tom Tanquary officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Billy Joe Stand, JR. passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at his home in Delaware. He was born on May 19, 1958 in Nowata to Billy Joe and Trojia Jayne (Alspach) Stand. SR. Billy was educated in Delaware Schools. On November 25, 1977 he married Peggy Thomas in Delaware. Billy loved shooting guns, fishing, riding 4-wheeler's, and outside activities. He loved his family and especially his grandson Landon. Spending time with him was the highlife of his live. He enjoyed working in the oil fields and the Bellco asphalt plant. Billy had a great sense of humor and loved having fun with his friends. He will be missed by many. Billy is survived by his wife, Peggy Stand of the home, his mother Trojia Stand of Delaware; three children, Joshua Stand, Matthew Stand and fiancée Kira Hesslen, and Cody Stand; three siblings, Stella Jane Stand, Ricky Dean Stand, and Lorie Darlene Bell, one grandchild, London Travis Stand. Billy is preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Stand, SR. Memorials in Billy's name may be sent to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children at 3800 North May Avenue Oklahoma City, OK 73112-6506.
