Calvin Drake

Calvin Wade Drake, 60, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on January 20, 1949 in Maysville, Arkansas to Harry William and Nelva (Norton) Drake. Calvin graduated from Pryor High School in Pryor, Oklahoma. He worked as a forklift operator for Interstate Steel. Calvin enjoyed dirt track racing, working on racecars, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his son, Steven Wade Drake; his daughters, Tina Herndon and Bessie Hokett; his grandchildren, Autumn, Jacob, Ashley and Justin Miller, Destinee and Hunter Drake; his brother, Kenneth Drake; his sisters Barbara and Tammy Caudill. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Alvin Drake. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Mount Hermon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
