Carla Summerfield

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK 918-253-3222. Carla Renee Summerfield, 48, after a long battle with cancer, passed away on February 29, 2016 at her residence in Jay, Oklahoma. Carla was born on August 24, 1967 in Ada, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Bob and Anita (Wilson) Hughes. She was a graduate of Jay High School. Carla was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She liked to cook and bake all sorts of goodies. Carla was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Elton Summerfield of the home, her three daughters Kaitlin Rutherford and fiancé Chance Wynn, Kylee Summerfield and Susie Summerfield all of Jay, OK, two step-children Chad & Lisa Summerfield of Las Vegas, NV, and Devin Summerfield of Tahlequah, OK. She was blessed with two grandbabies, Cambree Dugan and Maddyx Wynn, and one on the way. Carla is also survived by her one brother Clifford Hughes (Tonya) of Miami, OK., and two sisters Norma Gee of Davis, OK and Donna Pruneau of Mustang, OK. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, March 4, 2016, Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 5, 2016 both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma with Reverend Mike Earp officiating. Carla will be laid to rest in Duffield Cemetery, in Jay, OK. Honoring Carla's life by serving as casket bearers will be Steve Wilson, Greg Wilson, Donnie Summerfield, Dwayne Summerfield, Leroy Flaming and Mark Brown. Honorary casket bearers will be Brad Hinkle, Terry Hinkle and Todd Hinkle.
