Catherine Sue (Price) Riley left the earthly world early on October 20, 2021. Catherine was born in Centralia, Oklahoma on October 12, 1935, to Robert Lee Price and Martha Louisa (Thorpe) Price. She attended school in Alluwe, Lenapah and graduated from Nowata High School with the class of 1954. Catherine married James C. “Jim” Riley on December 27, 1956, at the First Christian Church in Nowata, Oklahoma. They cherished 58 years of their life together until Jim’s passing on November 6, 2015. She was employed by Medicalodges for over sixteen years as a clerical account payable clerk. Catherine was a devoted member to the First Christian Church of Coffeyville and Baxter Springs and the Cowboy Capital Fellowship Church of Lenepah. She loved Jesus with all her heart. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the church’s choir for over forty years. She sang “The Lord's Prayer” at countless weddings and funerals. Catherine was very active in her church participating in all the events helping with Bible School, church’s rummage sales. Her hobbies included sewing, counted cross-stitch, beaded Christmas stocking and tree skirts, that are in homes across the country and working in the flower bed. Much of her stitchery has been handed down to family members and friends as a wonderful memory. She loved to solo with accompaniment of her sons, Justin, Chris, and her husband. What brought Catherine the most joy, and what she considered was her greatest and most precious accomplishment in life, was being a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Catherine is preceded in death by husband, James Riley; her parents, Lee, and Martha Price; one son, Justin Riley; four siblings, Vivian McPherson, Bill Price, Betty Clingan and Bob Price.

She is survived by her two sons, Brett Riley of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Chris Riley and wife Deidra of Baxter Springs, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Samuel Riley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mickey Riley of Crystal City, Virginia, Jackson Riley of Clearwater, Florida; Henry Riley of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Anna Riley of Baxter Springs, Brad Thomison of Wichita, Kansas , Valerie Geherer and husband Nick of Manhattan, Kansas; two great grandchildren, Miss Ellie Geherer, Adam Geherer, and host of many friends.

A visitation for Catherine will be held Monday, October 25, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 10: 00 a. m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021, with Cody Graves officiating. Funeral Services will be held at Benjamin Funeral Services, 114 W.
