Long time Langley resident and beautician, Choon Lan “Molly” Baker, 86, died at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in China on April 7, 1934.
In 1958 Molly married the love of her life George Baker in Singapore. They moved to the Langley/Strang area at that time. Molly attended college for three years and earned her nursing degree. She was also a beautician and owned and operated Betty’s Beauty Shop in Langley. Molly loved meeting and talking to people. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens but most of all loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were special to her. She loved traveling to Branson, Missouri with them and had a special place in her heart for them. Molly was a special person that will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Molly Baker in death are her parents; her husband; two stepsons, James and Robert Baker; and an older sister.
Survivors include sons, Pete Baker of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Tom Baker, Mac Baker; four sisters; four grandchildren, Ashley Baker, Cassie McCord, Bradley Baker, Dalton Baker; two great-grandchildren, C.J. McCord, Kylie McCord; daughter-in-law, Belinda Baker along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
A visitation for Molly Baker will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley, Oklahoma from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
