D'Ann Rexwinkle

D'Ann (Victor) Rexwinkle, age 54 of Barnsdall went to be with the Lord Friday, March 9, 2012. D'Ann was born in Miami, OK on January 22, 1958 to James and JoAnn (Bell) Victor. In 1976 she graduated from Afton High School. On June 3, 1977 she was united in marriage to Rick Rexwinkle and together raised two children. D'Ann earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from OSU. For the last 10 years she has been teaching, motiving, supporting and inspiring students. She loved working with children and along with teaching worked as a 4-H volunteer for 35 years. D'Ann was very proud of her family as well as being one of OSU's best fans. Another one of her passions was music, as she was the pianist for Afton First Christian Church for 20 years. She was also a great entertainer from cooking, to making floral arrangements, to organizing events. With her spark for life and her can-do attitude she was a blessing to many. Survivors include her husband Rick Rexwinkle of the home, son James Rexwinkle and wife Cherry of Tulsa, daughter JoDee Sproul and husband Ryan of Afton, granddaughter Sophia Rexwinkle of Tulsa, Brother Jay Victor and wife Dawn of Afton, sister Kelli Reil and husband Jack of Elgin, OK, and in-laws Wayne and Pat Shearhart of Big Cabin and Ivan and Barbara Rexwinkle of Chetopa, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents. Celebration of Life services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Afton First Christian Church with Pastor Dan Weiser officiating.
