Danny Bishop

Danny Allen Bishop, 38 year old former Jay resident, died as a result of injuries from a pedestrian/vehicle accident on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He was born on October 16, 1968 to Linda Tyner and Jake Bishop in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated from Jay High School in May of 1986. That summer he moved to Travelers Rest, South Carolina where he worked all over as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He married Kelly Blackwell on July 18th, 1992 in Conestee, South Carolina. They had three beautiful girls, Taylor Bishop 12, Kaitlyn Bishop 10, and Abby Bishop 6. After his divorce he met and fell in love with his fiancée Kristi Clark. They had a beautiful little girl named Gracen 2, he also gave his love to Kristi's son Reid 10. Danny enjoyed many things in life but his most precious enjoyment was spending time with his children. They were his life. The family includes: his fiancée Kristi, daughter Gracen and son Reid all of the home. Three lovely daughters, Taylor, Kaitlyn and Abby of Simpsonville, South Carolina, his mother and step-father, Kenny and Linda Tyner of Texas, his father and stepmother, Jake and Evelyn Bishop of Jay, Oklahoma, a brother Gary Bishop and wife Lynn of Jay, two sisters, Tamara Taylor and husband Victor of Jay, Stephanie Bishop of Jay, five nephews, Jesse, Nathan, and Cody Bishop, Levi Taylor and Chase Shotpouch all of Jay, one niece, Kaylea Taylor of Jay, his grandmother, Blanche Bishop and grandfather, Elvis Orr. There are also numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives also surviving. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Jewell Bishop and grandma, Shirley Orr. The family will receive friends form 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2007 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay. The funeral service will be held Monday February 19, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Mission Church in Jay, with Pastor Chester Crittenden officiating. Interment will follow at the Duffield Cemetery in Jay. Casket bearers will be: Wayne, Kevin, and J.A. Bishop, Chris Beal, Wesley and Leroy Flaming. Honorary bearers will be Randy Beal and Jerry Flaming. Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Jay.
