David was born January 28, 1949 at Parsons, Kansas to John Douglas Hagan, Jr. and Gertrude Mae (Hill) Hagan. He grew up in Parsons and graduated from Labette County High School. Baldwin and her husband, Gary of Chanute, Kansas; one brother, John Douglas Hagan, III and his wife, Marian of Dunnellon, Florida and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents; by a son, Jacob Madison Hagan in 1989 and by two sisters, Laura Patricia Curtis and Sally Ellen Martin.
