David Riffel

David LeRoy Riffell passed away March 19, 2020. David was born on January 17, 1942 the son of Roy and Mary Riffel. He graduated from Erie Kansas High School. He joined the Army after graduation and served in Korea and Vietnam. Upon discharge he worked in Minnesota where he spent most of his life. David returned to Kansas after early retirement where he flipped houses. He married Betty Hamilton and moved to Vinita. David was active in his church and the Senior Center in Big Cabin. He enjoyed gardening tomatoes and loved to give them away.

David leaves behind his wife Betty and two children, Marcie Riffel and Abe Riffel along with granddaughter Mandy Raska. Four step-children, Mike and Regina Hamilton and their children, Justin and Nikki, Kevin and Annette Hamilton and their children, Holly, Amy, Lacie, Kari and Nikki, Tanya and Jeff Curl and their children Jennifer and Jeff, Brenda and Leonard Moorehead and their son Chase.

Memorial services will be held at Luginbuel Funeral Home on March 27, 2020 at 10:00 am with Pastor Leland Bartlett officiating. A private burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Kansas at a later date.
