David Tanner

GROVE - David Gerald Tanner, 33, died August 3, 2007 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. David was born September 7, 1973 to Edward Lee and Margaret (Morgan) Tanner in Gravette, Arkansas. David graduated from Grove High school in 1992. During high school, he was involved in the Future Farmers of America, and proudly wore the #33 Jersey for the Grove Ridgerunner football team. David was 1992 District Offensive player of the year, made All-State Honorable mention, and was voted "Who's Who" of sports. In 2004, David married Lori Marie McMillan in Grove Oklahoma. David was employed by May Trailer in Ada Oklahoma and worked in the welding field. Survivors include his wife, Lori of the home, four children, Chelsea Lyn Marie Tanner, Natalie Leanne Tanner, Haley Marie McMillan, and step-son Dalton James King, his mother, Margaret Tanner, one brother, Terry Tanner and his wife Tina, one sister, Tammi Shelton all of Grove Oklahoma, four nephews and two nieces. David was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Tanner in 1993. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, in Grove Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Butler Baptist Church with Pastor Dolphus Blevins and Brother Chester Crittenden officiating. Pallbearers will be Kreg Butler, Daniel Jackson, Shane Sisco, Jamie Hayes, Calvin Gaston and Chris Beal. Interment will be held immediately following at O'Field Cemetery, in Piney, Oklahoma.
