Delane Goforth

Delane Goforth age 70, resident of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord on August 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  Delane was born to Orba D. and Anna Gertrude (nee Burge) Goforth December 30th, 1948 in Vinita, Oklahoma.  He attended Ketchum Schools and bravely served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy where he was stationed on the same ship with his brothers John and Orba Dee.  He spent over 30 years as a loyal employee of the Cinch Corporation in Vinita, Oklahoma.  In 1982, Delane met and married the love of his life Rebecca Cattarusa.  To the marriage Rebecca brought one daughter Alyssa, whom Delane loved as his very own.  They were blessed with another beautiful daughter, Jennifer in 1983.

Delane was a beloved Father, Husband, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend.  He was known to be compassionate and took the time to make others feel loved.  He enjoyed fishing with his brothers and telling stories.  His pride and joy were his Grandchildren Halie and Corbin.  His favorite pastime watching them grow and teaching them his ornery ways.

Delane was preceded in death by his Parents Orba and Anna Gertrude Goforth. Sisters Mary Goforth and Sue Losh. Brothers Billy Goforth and Orba Dee Goforth.

He is survived by the love of his live Rebecca Cattarusa.  Daughter Alyssa Cattarusa, Daughter Jennifer Jobe and Husband Matt, Grandchildren Halie and Corbin Jobe. Brothers John Goforth, Don Goforth and Albert Goforth.  Sisters Shirley Stanley, Betty Baker, Agnes Goforth-Zitkus and Mae Harrison as well as many, many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends

Graveside services will be held 10:00am Saturday August 24, 2019 at Carselowey Cemetery in rural Vinita.
