Delmar Thomas Mosher Jr. 84 passed away May 16, 2021, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born in Nowata, Oklahoma, May 20, 1936, to Delmar Thomas Sr. and Carrie Amanda (Arning) Mosher.

Delmar graduated from Nowata High School and then enlisted in the Air Force Reserve.   He then attended NEO A&M College where he received his associate degree and then NESU where he received his bachelor’s degree in drafting. On September 22, 1961 Delmar married the love of his life Linda Carol Jordan in Nowata, OK. He was employed with Phillips 66 for over 40 years as a cooperate designer.

Delmar was not big enough to play football, so he took piano lessons instead. He started helping his dad at the age of 14, in the family business known as Mosher automotive repair shop in Nowata, Oklahoma. Delmar helped with brake jobs, head and valve jobs and keeping the shop cleaned. At the age of 15, he purchased his first automobile to restore, it was a 1932 Ford Coupe. He was enthused about aviation and was avid builder of aircraft and was a member of Flying Falcons.

In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, which led to many hobbies such as fishing, camping, woodworking and working on automotive. Delmar restored a few old classic cars from ground up for his own pleasure. He restored a 1967 Camaro SS for himself and a 1961 Volkswagen Beetle and painted it Porsche red for his wife. Delmar was very talented and could fix anything. He was a very kind person and would help anyone in need. He loved people, especially his wife, and children. Delmar had many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Delmar in death are his parents, Delmar Sr., and Carrie Mosher; wife, Linda Mosher; a son, Stephen Mosher.

Survivors include his son Brent Mosher, many other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the Benjamin Funeral Chapel in Nowata, Oklahoma, with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating.
