Mary “Diane” Jordan Albert, 63, of Nowata, OK, passed away peacefully just before dawn on August 10th, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
Diane was a Valentine’s Day baby born on Feb 14th, 1960, the middle child of Lloyd and Evelyn Jordan. Diane graduated from Nowata High School in 1978 with many friends dating back to first grade. She was a twirler in her early years. In later school years, she played softball and was a Nowata Ironman cheerleader.
Diane married Doug Albert on June 12, 2004, high above the White River at Eureka Springs, AR. They were school friends who reunited later in life and enjoyed 14 years together before Doug passed away in 2018. Diane held many different roles and responsibilities at Phillips 66 in Bartlesville, OK. She retired with over 30 years of service in 2017. She quickly became quite the “country girl” while living in a log cabin on a large farm. Her love of animals was always present. She could often be found on a mower, tractor, or even a bulldozer! Other hobbies included playing pool, water skiing, riding trails, and shopping. Diane pushed boundaries and was always determined to forge her own way through any situation.
Those remaining to remember Diane include her mother Evelyn Jordan of Nowata; brother Terry Jordan and partner Scott Crow of Nowata; sister Donna Aultz and husband Byron of Nowata; and nephew Tyler Hicks and wife Tiffany of Dallas, TX; lifelong friend Terri Seely of Seneca, MO. Preceding Diane in death are her father Lloyd Jordan and her husband Doug Albert.
Funeral services will be held August 19th at 10 AM at Cornerstone Community Church in Nowata, OK.
Interment will be in the Nowata Relocated Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends donate to the Nowata Community Foundation or the Nowata Beautification, Inc.
