Doris Spohn

Doris Eve Spohn, 78 year old Grove resident, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019.  Doris was born in Claremore, OK on January 26, 1941 to Cephus and Lena (Morgan) Fields.  She worked as a nurse for several years as well as sold Avon. She was even a member of the Avon President’s Club.  For 4 ½ years Doris and her family lived in Germany and toured all over Europe.  Her time there is one of her fondest memories.  Doris was also very proud of her Native American heritage.  She adored her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters Michelle Summers of Troy, NY and Kimberly Brown of Grove, 3 grandchildren: Todd Whidby, Sean Strain, and Cherie Blair, 9 great grandchildren: Brandon Whidby, Gweneth Whidby, Alexandria Whidby, Breanna Whidby, Journey Whidby, Avangelena Blair, Jada Blair, Abel Blair, and Isaac Stamps, and siblings: Etta Jean Miller, Louise Marshall, Riley Fields, Wayne Fields, and Linda Patrick.  Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings: J. C. Fields, Melba Sappington, Dewey Fields, Maxine Francisco, Warren Fields, and Franklin Fields.

Viewing will be from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Grove.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Polson Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com or on the Worley Luginbuel Facebook page.
