Ed West Jr.

Edward Dean West, Jr., 65, Grove resident, died peacefully Thursday evening May 8, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born on February 9, 1949 in Porterville, CA to his parents, Edward Dean and Evalyna (Clem) West. He graduated from Huntington Beach High School in 1967. Ed married the love of his life, Nancy Helen Northrup on March 3, 1967. They celebrated their 47th year of marriage earlier this year. Throughout his life Ed enjoyed many things. He was an avid golfer and loved to fish. Ed even traveled to Alaska to go fishing. The family enjoyed Ed's bountiful catch for almost a year. Ed was owner of Dean West Trucking Company, based in Porterville, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed Sr. and Evalyna; and his grandson, Jake Olsen. Ed leaves a lifetime of loving memories with his family, wife, Nancy; daughters, Debbie Correa and husband David, April Horne and husband Kelly; sister, Linda Brown and husband Bill; grandchildren, Ashley Boman and husband Brad, Madison Correa, and Edward Davis; great-grandchildren, Hyder Boman, Riley Davis, and Zander Davis; as well as many other loving family members, and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday May 15, 2014 at Ed's home, 24931 South 622 Road in Grove, with Chaplain Geoff Buffalo officiating.
