Edna Coulston

July 29, 1915 — December 19, 2009

Edna Lee Coulston, age 94 of Langley, died Saturday, December 19, 2009. She was born in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on July 29, 1915, the daughter of Leslie and Luella (Shaw) Booton. She attended her earlier years of school in Tecumseh, but graduated Valedictorian of her class from Strang. On January 8, 1933 she was united in marriage to Frosty Coulston and together they had six children. In 1953 they started Frosty's Drive Inn which they owned and operated until 1973. In 1963 they opened Frosty & Edna's Restaurant. Their daughter Joyce Herndon bought the restaurant from them in 1980 and Edna worked part time for her until completely retiring at the age of 79. Edna was a member of the First Christian Church of Langley. Edna is preceded in death by her husband Frosty Coulston, sons Donald and Gene Coulston, grandson Timmy Bogle, sisters Jesse Bristol and Lela Speer, and brother Jim Booton. Survivors include her children, Jimmy "Tub" Coulston, Floyd Wayne "Pete" Coulston and wife Pat, Joyce Herndon and husband Leo all of Langley, and Doris Bogle and husband Jerry of Strang, 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 26 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Langley with Pastor Joel Rutherford officiating. Interment will follow at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
