Edward Leon McMullin, passed away on July 18, 2020 in Vinita, OK. Edward, more commonly known as Leon, Smiley or Mac, was born on May 01, 1933 in Blue Hawk, OK to Charles Edward and Elaine (Stookey) McMullin.
Leon attended schools in Craig County, Oklahoma. He was of the Baptist faith and worshipped at the Church of God. Leon met and married the love of his life, Judith, in 1952 in Chelsea Oklahoma, and would spend 60 years putting smiles on each other’s faces. Leon worked for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority for 30 years. He was a true Cowboy and an avid rancher. He began raising cattle at a young age, and bailed hay all over northeast Oklahoma. He loved working with cattle and being out in his pastures. In later years he loved to watch westerns, play solitaire, and read, he had read every Louis L’amour book ever written. Leon was much loved by his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Elaine McMullin, wife, Judith McMullin, son, Roger McMullin, sister, Betty Kuder, and great-grandson, Jason Wolfgang Crawford.
Leon is survived by his daughter, Reanay Brown of Claremore, OK; grandchildren, Tulani Paige of Oologah, OK, Jarel Paige and wife Catherine of Chippewa Falls, WI, Ashley Brown and partner Cody Crawford of Tulsa Oklahoma; great-granchildren, Jordan Paige, Logan Wallace, Teagan Paige and Mackenzie Paige, along with many other family, friends, and loved ones.
Family visitation will be on Thursday July 23, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, OK. Funeral services will be held Friday July 24, 2020 also at Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, OK. Jarel Paige, Cody Crawford, Paul Wallace, Logan Wallace, Andy Chockley will be serving as Pall Bearers.
