Elmer Love

Elmer Abraham Love, 92-year-old Bartlesville resident, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Mr. Love was born April 23, 1918 in Erie, Kansas to Lewis and Dollie Love. He attended schools in Alluwe where he graduated. After high school, Mr. Love worked for his dad in the oil fields around Alluwe and then later worked for a few different companies in oil fields overseas. In 1939, he married Jewell Marie Emberson. Mr. Love retired in 1968 which is when he and Mrs. Love located to Bartlesville where they have resided since. Mr. Love is survived by one daughter, Nina Pierce and her husband Rick of Runaway Bay, Texas; by two sons, Burke Love and his wife Etta of Bartlesville and Bruce Love and his wife Nancy of Bartlesville; by one younger sister, Eileen Staley of Fresno, California; by 6 grandchildren; and by 2 great-grandchildren.
