Evelyn L. Hatcher, 82 year-old Langley resident, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Rosewood Terrace in Vinita. She was born October 17, 1925 in Olney Springs, Colorado to Oscar F. and Anna (Kohlmann) Schroeder. She married Charles Marion Hatcher on November 3, 1989 in Ketchum, Oklahoma. She was previously married to Harold H. Sharpe, who preceded her in death in 1985. Evelyn was a bookkeeper for Sears for nineteen years and also served as the City Manager of Langley, OK. for several years. She also worked as a tax preparer. She enjoyed gambling, especially playing the slot machines. She also collected stamps, magazines, bottles and coins. She also enjoyed flowers and hummingbirds. The family includes: her husband Marion, of the home, her son, Harold W. Sharpe and his wife Shirley of Ketchum. Three grandchildren: Eric Raus and his wife Julie of Pryor, OK, Kevin Sharpe and Amy Nolan of Claremore, OK, Brandon Sharpe and Shalon of Langley, OK. Five great-grandchildren: Kelsey Raus, Hannah Raus, Jeylyn Sharpe, Kaytlynn Sharpe and J.C. Sharpe. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Harold H. Sharpe and her daughter, Donna Raus. Evelyn's funeral service will be held Monday November 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel in Langley, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at the McLaughlin Cemetery at Cleora. Online tributes can be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley.
