Fay Smith

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK - 918-786-2261 ~ Fay Smith, lifetime resident of Zena, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior a day after her 90th birthday on September 10, 2015 in Grove, Oklahoma. Fay was born on September 9, 1925 in Boley, Oklahoma. She was one of five girls born to Fred V. and Racheal (Spencer) Wallace, Fay was united in marriage to the love of her life Wayne L. Smith on February 15, 1946 in Jay, Oklahoma only two weeks after Wayne returned from WWII. In June of 1968 Wayne and Fay brought home two little blonde headed blessings, Donna and Pam. Fay was the oldest roll member of the Zena Baptist Church and spent 35 years as the church clerk. Fay was a Dairy Farmer working side by side with Wayne for over 40 years milking cows and all the numerous chores that farming requires. Fay would always read a couple of scriptures a night, and had read her Bible front to back several times. Fay enjoyed spending time with her animals, gardening, canning, reading, baking, and watching her girls and grandchildren at all their sporting events. Fay was preceded in death by her parents and three of her sisters; Virgie Page, Joy Wallace, and Imogene Wallace. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Wayne Smith, her sister Betty Brixey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her daughters; Donna Smith of Zena, Pam and Casey Borin of Monkey Island. Fay was blessed with five grandchildren Derek Mooney, Chad Summerfield, Devin Summerfield, Holly Harris and Brock Borin. Fay will be missed by all of her nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4PM, Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 14, 2015 at Zena Baptist Church. Fay will be laid to rest in the Zena Cemetery.
