Floyd Felton

Floyd (Babe) Everett Felton, 79, of Lenapah, OK passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at his home. He was born to Clifford O. and Myrtle Mae (Payton) Felton on November 24, 1929 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He attended school at Snow Creek. Floyd married Geraldine Drum in 1949; she preceded him in death in 2006. Floyd married Wanda Mae Driskill in 1966. He loved his family and treasured every minute he spent with them. Floyd loved the outdoors; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and boating. He spent countless hours in his garage and working on old classic cars. Floyd is survived by his wife Wanda Mae Felton of Lenapah, Oklahoma, one son Carl (Butch) Everett Felton and his wife Janey of Burden, Kansas, one daughter Connie Marie Rudd and her husband Mark of Lenapah, Oklahoma, one sister Oneta (Sis) McMillan of Nowata, Oklahoma, one brother Billy Bob Felton and his wife Chrissy of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, two grandchildren John Hultz and his wife Jackie of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Amanda Marie Felton of Lenapah, Oklahoma, three great grandchildren Kaci and Karla Hultz of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Everett Alan Felton of Lenapah, Oklahoma and a nephew Timmy Felton and his wife Sharon of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, three step-sons Samie Lee Lain and his wife Nancy, Frankie Glen Lain and Ricky Ray Lain and his wife Kim all of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Myrtle Felton, one son Martin S. Felton, two sisters Eva M. Lane of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Ruby Felton, two brothers Glen O. Felton and Jessie J. Felton of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, two nephews Jessie (Bub) Felton and Jimmy (Bo) Felton of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, and one step-son Larry Wayne Lain of Coffeyville, Kansas. Funeral services for Mr. Felton are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Witty officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Cornerstone Hospice: 3414 SE Kentucky, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
