ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Galen "Bud" Wesley Brunsteter, age 90 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, at Jane Phillips Medical Center. Galen "Bud" Wesley Brunsteter was born on February 14, 1926 in Bartlesville. He was the son of Galen W. Brunsteter. He grew up in Bartlesville where he received his formal education. Bud enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served proudly on the U.S.S. Maryland during WWII. On December 17, 1946, Galen "Bud" Brunsteter and Frances Marie Davis were united in marriage in Bartlesville. In 1960, the family moved to El Paso, Texas. In 1975, they moved to Oklahoma City before moving back to Bartlesville in the late 70s. While in El Paso, Bud was employed as a service manager for Nance Buick. Also, for many years he and Frances owned the B&B Radiator business in Bartlesville where they worked together. Bud and Frances were married for almost 70 years before she preceded him in death on February 13, 2016. Bud was a member of First Christian Church, Bartlesville. Bud and Frances were members of a square dance club, as they loved to square dance. They also loved camping and traveling in their RV. Bud enjoyed gardening, hunting and was well-admired for his jewelry making skills. He worked mostly in silver and turquoise. However, time spent with his family was the most important thing for him. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Frances on February 13, 2016; son, James "Jimmy" Eugene Brunsteter; granddaughter, Patricia Miller; and sister, Annalee Witzel. He is survived by his children, Nancy Brunsteter-Diaz and her husband, Dr. Jose Diaz, of El Paso, and son, Tom Brunsteter, and his wife, Deborah, of rural Sedan, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Joshua Witwiski, Blake Witwiski, Melissa Prado, Joel Diaz, Rachael Doddato, Rhiannon Cook, Mallary Cline, Taylor Brunsteter and Angel Miller; and 13 great-grandchildren. Come and go visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. Graveside services for Mr. Brunsteter will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, Bartlesville. Mr. Stephen Colaw will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers will be D. J. and Rose Just, Scott and Shelly DuCharme, Paul Fox, Gil Greenwood and Frank Buford.
