Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK 918-253-3222. Gary Wayne Bryant, Jay resident, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 63. Gary was born on August 13, 1951 in Siloam Springs Arkansas to Raymond and Waltzie (Rogers) Bryant. He graduated from Jay High School in 1969. He then attended and graduated from Northeastern State University in 1973. He married Carol Baker on April 2, 1976 in Jay, Oklahoma. After graduating from Northeastern, Gary worked for Kelly's IGA Store. In 1977; Gary began his teaching career, and worked for Jay Schools for 36 years until retiring in 2013. Gary enjoyed working on his farm; as well as being involved in his civic duties throughout the community. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a current member of the Jay Masonic Lodge, Director of Jay Emergency Management and a retired fireman of thirty-five years, serving the last five as chief. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife Carol, and son Caleb of the home, one sister; Anita Bryant of Jay, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and throughout the community. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Bulldog Arena at Jay High School with Jack Netherton officiating.
