Gayle Clifton

Gayle Ann Clifton, 71 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on June 23, 2020 in Springdale, Arkansas.

Gayle was born on December 9, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was one of five children born to Homer and Irene (Sexton) Parkerson.  She was united in marriage to Larry Clifton on December 11, 1965. Gayle had a great sense of humor, was constantly pulling pranks and practical jokes and ready for a hearty debate. She enjoyed camping, fishing, tending to her flower beds and spoiling her beloved cats.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; O’Dell Parkerson and Dale “Bucky” Parkerson.  She is survived by her husband Larry Clifton, three children; Marilyn Kennedy of Grove, Oklahoma, Pam Perez (Mike) of Pinneville, Missouri and Beverly Tiger (Tony) of Grove, Oklahoma, her brother Roy Parkerson of Lexington, Oklahoma and her sister Mildred Threlkeldl of El Reno, Oklahoma.  Gayle was blessed with eight grandchildren: Melissa Brewer, Tim Servati, Tony “Bubba” Tiger, Christopher Servati, Tera Ligi, Brianna Clifton, Lindsey Perez, Larry Perez, six great grandchildren: Aiden Servati, Wayne Tiger, Charlie Barnes, Allison Tiger, Audra Servati, Lucas Servati,  Zeke Brewer and Charlotte Servati.

A visitation will be held an hour prior to services, starting at 1:00 PM.  Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2020 at Heart of Praise Church, 5 miles south of Honey Creek Bridge on Hwy 59.  Gayle will be laid to rest in the Zena Cemetery.
