Gesela Moss

Gesela Maria Moss was born to Verneta Faye (Smith) and James Moss on May 28, 1958 in Bitburg, Germany. She spent her formative years growing up in Des Moines, Iowa and during this time she proudly earned her high school diploma. Gesela moved to Bartlesville in later years and remained here until her passing. Gesela was an active member of Bethel A.M.E Church where she faithfully served as an usher until her health failed. Sunday after Sunday, you could depend on Gesela to be there to greet you as you entered the sanctuary. She loved her church family, believed in the power of prayer and did not hesitate to witness for the Lord. Her kind and generous spirit will be missed by all who know and love her. On Sunday morning, December 9, 2012, at the age of 54 years, Gesela peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord. Gesela leaves to cherish her memory: her loving Grandmother, Ethel Smith Horton of Bartlesville; two brothers, Derrick (Lois) Moss of Stockbridge, Ga., and Darnell Moss of Des Moines, Ia.; two sisters, Marcia Renee Jones of Bartlesville and Wanda Atkins of Tulsa, Ok. She is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Gesela also leaves to cherish her memory, her special friend, Jesse Davis of Bartlesville. She was preceded in death by both parents.
