Glen Dale Humes of Langley, Oklahoma passed away at his home on October 14, 2012. Glen was born in Oologah, Oklahoma on February 10, 1940. Glen attended Oologah schools all 12 years graduating in 1959. Glen attended Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College. Glen served in the United States Army as an MP for 3 years; two of the three years were served in Italy with NATO. Glen was a retired welder. Glen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Langley, OK and the American Legion Dale Peace Post #40 of Vinita, OK. Glen was married to Linda Cordray Bristol for 33 years. Glen was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Zona Hume. Glen in survived by his loving wife Linda of the home, 2 step children Donald Bristol Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Sapulpa, OK, Tammy Blevins of Langley, OK, and 6 grandchildren: Bradley Bristol, Jessica Bristol, Chase Spangle, T.J. Blevins, Westley Blevins, and Ronnie Mitchell. One brother Harvey Humes and wife Martha of Tulsa, OK, 3 sisters: Jane Petterson and husband Joe of Tulsa,OK Mary Woolsey and husband Dave of Owasso, OK, and Nora Driskilll and husband J.D. of Bixby, OK, one niece Dana Yager and one nephew Steven Driskill, and a host of cousins. Special thanks to Serenity Hospice and the VA Home Health Care of Vinita, OK. Also appreciation to Bob Boyd, Donnie Wofford, and Sonia Epperson. Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home with Pastor Leon Shade officiating.
