Glinda Martin

Glinda Sue Martin, 64-year-old Delaware resident, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Mrs. Martin was born August 17, 1945 in Dos Palace, California to Charles Daniel York and Mary Yates-York. She grew up and attended schools in California. On June 6, 1967 she was married to Dannie Martin in Mendota, California. Mrs. Martin later relocated to the Nowata area where she worked as a CMA for the Hays House. She loved writing poetry, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Martin is survived by her mother, Mary York of Gustine, California; by one son, Dannie Martin of Wisconsin; by two daughters, Tammy Billups of Mound City, Kansas and Rayko Goodreau and her husband Travis of Delaware; by three sisters, Alline Bruner of Gustine, Rita Kerr of Fresno, California, and Mary Chittenden of Clovis, California; by one brother, Donald York of Dos Palace; by grandchildren, Brittany, Brett, and Nicholas Goodreau; by other grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, by her husband, and by one brother, Robert York. A private family service will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.
