Gwen Robinson of Owasso, Oklahoma, departed this life on 9/22/2021 at the age of 92. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday September 29, 2021.  Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday September 30, 2021, at Benjamin Funeral Service in Nowata, OK. with Steve Bear officiating.  Final resting place will be next to Bob in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gwenna Mae Binkley was born July 21, 1929, in Nowata, Ok to Ralph Leroy Binkley and Frances Lybarger Binkley.  Gwen married the love of her life, Bob Robinson on November 11, 1949, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They had two sons’ John David and Terry Lynn. They lived in Nowata until 1990, and then moved to their Lake Hudson home near Salina, Ok. to retire.

Gwen began her working career for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as clerk to the District Plant Manager in Bartlesville in 1947. She later worked as a Service Representative in the Nowata and Bartlesville Business Offices and retired after 25 years with Southern Bell in 1988.

While living in Nowata she was an active member of the Hillside Christian Church, past President of the Youth Guiders Club and enjoyed Lady’s golf at the Nowata Country Club. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Jaycettes, and Bartlesville Business and Professional Women’s Club.

After Bob’s death, she moved to her home in Owasso where she has been blessed with many wonderful neighbors. Gwen also became a member of First Christian Church in Owasso.

Gwen is survived by her son Terry and brother Tom Binkley of Owasso, among many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, and son John, parents, Ralph and Frances Binkley, and brother Ralph Binkley Jr.
