Helen Gull

August 28, 1926 — August 21, 2014

Helen Louise Gull, 87, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Bartlesville Health Care Center. She was born August 28, 1926 in Eureka, Kansas to Ruby (Rimmer) and Floyd Knizley. She graduated Eureka High School and married Carl Ramond Gull on March 23, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas. She lived most of her life in the Tulsa area before moving to Oologah in 1974. Helen was full of energy and worked many jobs over the years. She co-owned a small antique/gift store and taught tole painting where she enjoyed painting with her partner, Nan Claver. Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved being with family and was always ready for card playing, eating chocolate cake and drinking coffee, even at midnight. She was full of life with a dose of ornery. Helen is survived by three children, Carl Ramond Gull II and his wife Bonnie of Oklahoma City, Erin Lee Gull Riner and her husband John of Nowata and Ralph Clifton Gull of Owasso; eleven grandchildren, Candice Gull Rennels and her husband Corey of Mustang, Carl Ramond Gull III and wife Erin of Newport, NC, Rod Gull of Phoenix, AZ, Meghan Gull of Oklahoma City, Cliff Riner and his wife Cathy of Bartlesville, Jake Riner and his wife Bonnie of Bartlesville, Hayley Gull Ouverson and her husband Kyle of Luther, Ok., Ryan Hinton and his wife Jessica of West Texas, Reed Hinton of Colorado Springs, CO, and Dalton and Lucas Gull, both of Catoosa; ten great grandchildren, Riley and Annalee Rennels, Carl Ramond IV and Avery Gull, Rowen and Ramsey Ouverson, Jackson, Karis and William Riner and Charlee Hinton; and a daughter in law, Sue Ann Young Gull of Catoosa. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ramond Gull I, and her parents. A memorial service for Helen will be Sunday, 2:00 P.M., August 24, 2014 at Hillside Christian Church with Van Longbons officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
