Funeral services for Hubert King will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel, Nowata, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Lenapah, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata. Hubert Joe King was born July 22, 1932, in Wann, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Goldie Dollie (Folk) King. He passed from this life Saturday, February 18, 2012, in Grove, Oklahoma. He was 79 years old. Joe served in the United States Army. On July 9, 1956 he married Dorothy Louise Scott in Bartlesville. He was a welder and they made their home in the Nowata area since. Joe enjoyed fixing up cars and fixing things. He had a very creative mind and could design, build, or fix just about anything. Joe liked to fish and coon hunt. He enjoyed pulling ponies and most outdoor events. His grandchildren were very close to him and he loved the time he could spend playing and being with them. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Preceding Mr. King in death are his parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and a grandson, Cody White. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, of the home, children, Rick Unruh and wife Ellen, of Enid, Buddy King and fiancé Terry Wigley, of Lenapah, Patty Gushee and husband Butch "Wade", of Bartlesville, Pam Rumple and husband Mike, of Bernice, grandchildren, Kyla White, Kelcie White, Jake King, Morgan Wigley, Zack Rumple, Charity Rumple, and several others, great grandchildren, Morgen Bellar, Levie Hicks, Sydney White, Jaxon White, Hunter Drake, and others, a sister Barbara Henry, many other relatives and a host of friends.
