Irvin Darling

Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma............................................ Irvin A. Darling, 90 passed away Sunday, May 15 at Bartlesville Health and Rehab. He was born May 30, 1925 in Gypsum, KS. He graduated from Manhattan High School in 1944 then attended Kansas State University and received his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1949. He was in private veterinary practice for 16 years then worked for 27 years for the US Department of Agriculture as a veterinarian. After retiring he moved to Langley and lived on Grand Lake. He enjoyed taking trips, boating, fishing and swimming. Irvin is survived by his daughter, Konya Harper, son, Kevin Darling, granddaughters, Courtney Edwards and Dayton Moore, and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kent Darling; three siblings: Phyllis Darling, Frank Darling, and Nola Spangler. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Memorial service will be Saturday, May 21 at 3 pm at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Ben Killion officiating.
