James Magrino

Farmington, AR - James Joseph Magrino, born September 13, 1951 in Brooklyn NY, died on November 11, 2010 after a brief illness. He had resided in Farmington, AR since 2006, after living in Grove, OK from 1997-2006. Jim is survived by Gerry Faley and Mark Hansche of the home; sisters Kathy Arrington-Conner of Broken Arrow, OK and Janet Alesio of Oceanside, CA; nieces Kerri Arrington of Broken Arrow, OK and Lauren Arrington of New Bern, NC; nephew Chris Arrington of San Antonio, TX and great-niece Tatum Wilton of Broken Arrow, OK. Jimmy will be remembered for his generosity, devotion to his faith, and his love of animals, particularly his dogs. He was active as a Eucharistic Minister in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grove, OK. He is known for his love of classical music, and of rock - namely John, Paul, George and Ringo. He will be missed for his charitable work for the needy and elderly. Most of all, Jimmy will be missed for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was always known for a great laugh. Jimmy was a Capuchin Franciscan Friar (Brother) for much of his early adult life. He retired from New York Bell (Verizon) in 1997 after working twenty years as a customer representative, training instructor, and management supervisor. He received many awards for his sales endeavors and his teaching ability. A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated by Fr. Alex Kennedy on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grove, OK with interment to follow at Olympus Cemetery in Grove. Visitations will be Monday, November 15, 2010 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 Colt Square, Fayetteville, AR 72703. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
