Jasper "JD" David Deason

Jasper David “JD” Deason, 88 years, 7 months, and 3 days, passed from this life on May 13, 2023, at the Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. JD was born on October 10, 1934, at Cowlington, Oklahoma. He attended school in Turley, Oklahoma.

JD and Shirley Griggs Riley were married on May 8, 1975, at Turley, Oklahoma.

He was born again in November of 1980 and spent the rest of his days living for Jesus and praising the Lord. He attended the Full Gospel Christian Center at Watova, Oklahoma. J.D. loved going to church, spending time with his family and friends, and watching sports on TV.

JD will be missed by all who loved and cared for him.

Preceding JD in death are his parents: Cecil and Lois (Berkley) Deason, his in-laws: James and Lucille Griggs, his sons: Paul Douglas Deason, Brian Keith Deason, his sisters: Mary Ethelene Phelps, Bettye Hess, Shirley Freda Deason, his brothers: Calvin Edward, James Roy, Charley Ray, Bruce Wayne, Delmar Vernon, and Raymond Lester Deason.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home, his sons: Jim Deason and wife, Sue, Peter Deason and his wife, his daughter: Joan Rainey, his sisters: Nettie Lavon Hoffman and husband, Vernon, Beverley Kay Rogers, and Kathey Ann Brown, his brothers: Garry Lee Deason and Buel Leonard Deason, and his wife, Sandy, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Watova Full Gospel Christian Center with Jolie Blankenship officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff of Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemoriesnowata.com.
