J.D. Graham

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK....918-253-3222....J.D. Graham, passed away at his home in Jay, OK on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the age of 83. J.D. was born on July 7, 1931 in Jay, OK, the son of the late Bluford Graham and Dora (Lackey) Graham. J.D. attended Jay schools and then joined the United States Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He married Jenora Mae Bacon and to this union three children were born. After working construction for several years in Tulsa, J.D. decided to start up his own company in the Jay area. In 1972 he moved his family to Jay where he continued to grow his company. While living in Jay he met Teresa Aubrey and she became J.D.'s lifelong companion of 35 years. J.D. enjoyed hunting quail and deer, fishing, and loved to just be outdoors. He also enjoyed working his cattle at the farm and he had a passion for the construction industry. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters: Lucille Curtis, InaBelle Beck, Noveta Kirby, Juanita Denney, Louise McKenzie, and Verna Lee Graham; three brothers: Paul Graham, Delmer Graham, and Elmer Graham; and two grandchildren: Tracy Millsap and Jeremy Graham. He is survived by his two sons: Joe Graham and his wife Melani of Jay, OK, and Kenny Graham of Jay, OK; one daughter Cheryl Millsap of Tulsa, OK; one brother Wayne Graham and his wife Marilyn of Tulsa, OK; one sister Wilma Brown of Oklahoma City, OK; eight grandchildren: Kendra Millsap, Jerrod Millsap, Kasey Graham, Kelli Lynchard, Jillian Graham, Cassi Graham, Dylan Graham, and Tess Graham; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. The family would also like to thank the ladies that cared for J.D., Francine, Katherine, and Louise, for their unending care, devotion, and compassion to J.D., along with their support to his family. The family is extremely grateful for these women. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Jay, OK on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2PM with Rev. Chester Crittenden, presiding. Burial will follow at the Duffield Cemetery, Jay, OK. The family will greet friends on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6PM to 7PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
