Jeanette Irene (Martin) Vaughan, 84, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Jeanette was born March 1, 1936, in Alluwe, OK, to Robert and Ruth (Smith) Martin. She was one of seven siblings of the home. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas William Vaughan on January 25, 1953, in Alluwe, OK. They cherished over fifty years together until his passing in 2003. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, baking, and sewing, caring for her children and was avid about keeping a clean home. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Nowata until her health would not allow it. Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her family and loved them unconditionally. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her husband Thomas William Vaughan, parents: Robert and Ruth (Smith) Martin, four siblings: Carl Martin, Jackie Brannan, Bobby Kiser, Marilyn Sue Maiden and one great granddaughter: Destiny Barnett.

Survived by her two children: Billy Tom Vaughan, Brenda Gunn, and husband Harold Gunn. Seven grandchildren and their spouses: Lacey and Scott Hodges, Maggie and B.J. Calcote, Dakota and Megan Gunn, April Mayhew, Tiffany and Jack Baumann, Brian and fiance Jemi Lusk and Zach Vaughan. Twenty-four great grandchildren: Ace Koester, Jarrett Hodges, Kolton Hodges, Sadee Hodges, Sage Hodges, Tylee Calcote, Gypsy Calcote, Kanyon Calcote, Sterling Gunn, Lucy Gunn, Joshua Clemmons, Dontre Mayhew, Dimitri Mayhew, Davin Mayhew, Dezmon Mayhew, Dasha Barnett, Skyelar Stover, LaKendric Stover, Chance Baumann, Shalee Baumann, Ezekiel Vaughan, Scarlett Vaughan, Yacsari Lusk, Yuliana Lusk: two siblings: Barbara Moreland and Norma Carrington.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12-5 pm, Sunday, February 21,2021 at Benjamin Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 22, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Nowata, OK with Pastor Wayne Clayton officiating.
