Jill Seale

March 3, 1956 — November 7, 2023

Nowata, Oklahoma

Jill Seale, 67, passed away on November 7, 2023, at her residence in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was born on March 3, 1956, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Jack Newton Southall and Lou Netti (Strickland) Southall, as the youngest of four children.

Jill grew up in the Nowata area, attending Nowata Public Schools through her sophomore year before her family moved to Rogers, Arkansas, where Jill graduated from high school. Shortly after graduating, Jill then moved back to Nowata. Jill married Robert “Bob” Maggard in 1978. Bob was in the Army and the couple were stationed in Germany for two years. Jill was a nurse in Germany at the Army base. While the marriage did not work out in the long run, the couple had a son together, Lucus Maggard.

Jill met Christopher Seale and the couple dated for a year before getting married on April 8, 1993. Together they had their son, Joseph Seale.

Initially, Jill was interested in working in cosmetology, but realized it was not for her and began a long career working in nursing for 44 years. Jill worked as a nurse for 30 years at the Will Rogers Health Center in Nowata. She was known for her huge heart as she was very loving and caring towards everyone she encountered. Jill enjoyed being involved with her church, the Nowata Methodist Church, of which she was a member and attended for 25 years. At the church, she sang with the choir and was a member of the Wednesday Evening Women’s Discipleship Group, whom she loved dearly. She really enjoyed spending time with the ladies of that group. She was a devout Christian and took her faith very seriously and regularly read her Bible. In her free time, Jill enjoyed doing all different types of crafts, crocheting, and spending time outdoors. She also loved animals. Jill had a special place in her heart for her family whom she loved very much. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents: Jack and Lou Netti Southall and her sister: Jamee Hicks.

Those left to cherish the memory of Jill include her husband: Christopher Seale of Nowata, OK; her children: Lucus Maggard and wife, Margarita of Bartlesville, OK and Joseph Seale and wife, Cheyenne of Nowata, OK; her grandchildren: Niko Maggard and Sumiaya Maggard; a granddaughter on the way: Gabriella Seale; her siblings: Suzy Faulkner and husband, Benjamin of Sand Springs, OK and Jack Southall Jr. and wife, Joanne of Broken Arrow, OK, along with church friends, other family members, and many friends.
