Jim Hartzfeld

Jim Hartzfeld passed away August 31, 2020 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, MO, due to a massive stroke.  Jim was born in Girard, KS on February 9, 1936 to Wilson and Estelle Hartzfeld.  He graduated from Bronaugh, MO high school in 1954.  In 1957 he was united in marriage to Sondra Sauvain.

Jim is survived by his wife Sondra of the home, three children: Richard (Lisa) Hartzfeld, Glena, KS, Wendy (Daniel) Vrabac, Overland Park, KS, Cindy Chancellor, Lexington, KY, 6 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 8 great granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, and two nephews: Dan Dunkel and family, Oologah, OK, and Kevin Dunkel and family, Miami, OK.

Jim loved his family.  He loved to hunt, fish with his son, took his two daughters on their first date. He retired form General Motors in Kansas City, KS after 35 years in March 1995.  He moved to Zena, OK on Grand Lake in 1998 and to Grove in 2014.
